In 1992, Mr. Butts graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Webber College. He subsequently graduated with honors from the University of Florida, College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree, in 1996. Mr. Butts specializes in construction law for which he is Board Certified and is considered an expert. Board certification requires extensive continuing legal education in construction law, an in-depth peer review, and the passing of a rigorous written examination.
Mr. Butts is also a Certified General Contractor. His construction experience is diverse, including commercial, multi-family, and residential construction as well as development projects. Mr. Butts’ understanding of the construction industry both as a practitioner and as a legal expert, as well as his business and accounting background, allow him to represent his clients from a diverse and unique perspective.
